While driving along the coastline of Yeongjongdo in Incheon, we came across a building that immediately caught our eye.
It stood quietly on a small hill, framed by palm trees and soft lighting that made it look warm and welcoming even at dusk.
We didn’t plan to stop—but something about its charm pulled us in.
That’s how we discovered DADDY & UNCLES, a café with photo studio floors above, now trending on social media for its stylish design and stunning ocean backdrop.
Up close, we realized it wasn’t just a café.
The building spans four levels: the ground floor is home to the DADDY bakery café, while the upper three floors make up UNCLES, a series of thoughtfully designed photo zones.
Outside, red strawberry-shaped tables and palm-lined greenery gave the place a bright, cheerful charm.
With a little flutter of excitement, I started up the stairs to the second floor.
The staircase was softly lit, with lovely little touches all along the way,
and even the hallways felt like photo spots themselves.
It was the kind of place where even walking from one floor to another made you want to pause and take a photo.
Second Floor
The first room we stepped into had a deep red chair placed in front of a tall mirror, surrounded by soft and simple wall décor.
Natural light streamed in from the side, making it the perfect spot to sit down and take a few easy, natural shots.
The lighting was gentle and flattering—every photo came out beautifully, without much effort.
Rooftop photo zone
When we stepped out onto the rooftop, the view was more breathtaking than we expected.
To one side was the wide-open ocean; to the other, a red gate and a soft orange crescent moon sculpture stood out against the blue sky.
It felt surreal and cinematic.
You could see Wolmido in the distance, and if you looked closely, even small boats sailing by.
It was peaceful, beautiful, and incredibly photogenic.
Themed photo spots
Each floor had its own theme and personality.
One room felt like a cozy Christmas corner, with neatly wrapped gift boxes stacked by the wall.
Another was filled with red and white balloons, and there was even a color room with bold pops of red, green, and yellow.
Everything was beautifully set up, but not in an overdone way—it felt inviting, not staged.
The charm wasn’t just in the main rooms.
We kept finding little surprises : a quirky watermelon-and-radio, a reed-filled corner bathed in golden sunlight, glow-lit stairways, and even rose petals scattered across the floor.
Every turn revealed something new and beautiful to capture.
We didn’t come dressed for a photoshoot, but the atmosphere made everything look great regardless.
It wasn’t just a café—it was an experience.
A place where you could slow down, snap some fun or thoughtful pictures, and enjoy the moment.
Especially on a sunny day, the rooftop alone is worth the visit.
If you’re heading to Yeongjongdo, this is one of those hidden gems you’ll be glad you took a chance on.
