While walking through Unseo-dong in Yeongjongdo—an island just off the coast of Incheon, South Korea, I stumbled upon a stunning building quietly perched on a small hill. From a distance, I wasn’t sure what it was—a café, a gallery, maybe a private showroom? But the architecture was so unique, I couldn’t help but get closer.
Even before stepping inside, I was impressed by how well-designed the building looked from every angle. I paused for a second, then decided to go in—and I’m so glad I did.
A Calm, Luxurious Space You’ll Want to Linger In
Walking through the entrance felt like arriving at a boutique hotel lounge. The space was calm and elegant, and with very few people around, I was free to explore at my own pace—switching seats, taking in every corner, and simply enjoying the moment.
Vintage-inspired furniture, a long stretch of ceiling track lights, and well-placed design touches gave the space a gallery-like charm. Soft music played gently in the background, adding warmth to the quiet atmosphere.
A Tailor Studio with Star Quality
As it turns out, this isn’t just a stylish café—it’s also a bespoke tailoring studio. All around the space, there were tailored suits on display, sewing tools, shoe brushes, and polished leather shoes. A clothes rack held finished garments for real clients.
Here’s the surprising part: this tailor studio has even provided tuxedos for celebrities—including award show outfits for K-pop group SEVENTEEN. There were beautifully printed lookbooks on the tables, filled with fashion editorial photos that matched the refined mood of the place.
Whether you're getting married or simply looking for a standout suit, this is the kind of spot you'd want to remember.
A Café Surrounded by Greenery
Just beyond the windows is a charming garden full of greenery, giving the café a calm, nature-inspired feel. There are several cozy tables and chairs scattered around, perfect for sipping a drink or having a quiet conversation.
I can only imagine how magical it must be in the evening, when the garden lights turn on and the space begins to glow.
Thoughtful Drinks, Beautifully Presented
Of course, I had to try a few things from the menu. I went with two of their best-known drinks: the Blue Ocean Latte and the Nudie Nothing But Orange Juice.
The orange juice was simple and refreshing—sweet, tangy, and just the right amount of chill.
The Blue Ocean Latte, though, was a whole different experience.
Inspired by Yeongjongdo itself, the drink features layers of deep ocean blue, white foam for waves and clouds, and creamy sky on top. Stirring it slowly turns the entire drink green—a kind of quiet magic in a glass.
It didn’t taste like a traditional latte. It was light, smooth, and completely its own thing. Honestly, I’ve never had anything quite like it.
They also have a suit pricing guide available in-store, in case you’re interested in tailoring something of your own. But even if you’re not shopping, the space alone is well worth a visit.
If you're in Incheon and looking for a peaceful place to relax—somewhere with both character and calm—JJINHOMME Yeongjongdo might just be what you’re looking for.
